QSR Group wins CIBC Spirit of Leadership award. $5000 CIBC donation and matching $5000 donation to THCF Climbing wall.

Funding for THCF High Ropes Course

QSR helps to install high and low ropes courses and climbing walls at Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation (THCF) camps. QSR provides matching funds for these projects at all camps.

QSR opens first Free standing food court at Garden Avenue and 403 in Brantford.

QSR relocates offices to 5100 South Service Road.

Helps develop Tim Bit Soccer Leagues

PFSL convinces the Burlington and Oakville regional marketing groups to create the first Tim Bit leagues in Soccer. This idea leads to the formation of Tim Bit leagues in Hockey and other sports. Today over 130,000 kids are enrolled on Tim Bit teams.

Develops Smile Cookie Program

PFSL creates the first Smile Cookie program in Hamilton for the Hamilton Marketing Group and Chedoke McMaster Children’s Hospital. This program currently raises over $2 million per year for charities across Canada.

First Wendy’s opening! Store #6453 opens as a combo restaurant with Tim Hortons on Market Drive in Milton.

First Tim’s Employee H/R Program

PFSL creates first restaurant employee H/R program called Always Fair with help from TDL.

First Drive-Thru in Ontario

Tim Hortons #474 becomes first official Drive Thru store in Ontario.

Renovation

Prudhommes location is so busy that a renovation is required to accommodate customer flow.

Second Store Opened

Second Tim Hortons opening. Store #340 opens at 1600 Barton Street East in Hamilton.

First Store Opened

First Tim Hortons opened at Prudhommes Landing in Vineland. Greg Hogarth becomes the licencee and creates Pioneer Food Services Limited.
